Terms of Service
Last updated: 3/5/2026
Welcome to OpenLetter. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of our website, services, and platform (collectively, the "Service"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. The Service
OpenLetter provides a platform for writers to bundle and sell subscriptions to their digital newsletters. We act as a technology facilitator, providing the infrastructure for sales, payment processing, and subscriber fulfillment. We are not a publisher and do not create, edit, or endorse the content provided by the writers on our platform.
2. User Accounts & Responsibilities
To make purchases or use certain features, you must create an account and provide a valid email address. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account information and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
3. Payments, Subscriptions, and Renewals
All payments for subscriptions and bundles are processed securely through our third-party payment processor, Stripe. By making a purchase, you agree to their terms of service. Subscriptions may be billed on a one-time or recurring basis. Recurring subscriptions will automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless you cancel. You can manage or cancel your subscriptions at any time through your customer dashboard.
4. Refunds
Please refer to our Refund Policy for detailed information on refunds. As a general rule, due to the digital nature of our products, all sales are final.
5. Intellectual Property
All content provided by writers, including text, images, and other materials, is the intellectual property of the respective writers. OpenLetter claims no ownership over this content. Our platform, including our software, branding, and infrastructure, is the exclusive property of OpenLetter.
6. Limitation of Liability
The Service is provided "as is." OpenLetter and its affiliates, suppliers, and partners make no warranties, either express or implied, about the Service. To the fullest extent permitted by law, in no event will OpenLetter be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from your access to or use of or inability to access or use the Service.
7. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which our company is registered, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
8. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of any significant changes. Your continued use of the Service after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
